The Board of Trustees of the Sharjah Prize for the Best PhD Thesis in Administrative and Financial Sciences in the Arab World, chaired by Prof. Dr. Hamid Majul Al Nuaimi, Director of the University of Sharjah, announced the names of the winners of the award in its twentieth session for the year 2022-2023 AD, in both the field of administrative sciences and financial sciences. Dr. Omar Hassan Mustafa from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan won the first place for his thesis on “Determining Factors for Adopting the Customer Relationship Management Initiative in Small and Medium Enterprises in Palestine.” In the second place came the thesis submitted by Dr. Aisha Muhammad Al-Foudari from the State of Kuwait. The theme of which was “Exploring the Social and Technical Factors for Innovation in Smart Classrooms”. The third place was jointly won by Dr. Kamal Kazem from the State of Iraq, for his thesis entitled “The Role of Matching and Complementary Fit between the Leader and the Follower in Promoting Work Role Behaviors Through the Role”. The Mediator of Conscious Inclusion”, and Dr. Khawla Al Hosani from the UAE for her thesis “Better Service Through Creative Employees: Developing a Comprehensive Model for Creative Employee Behavior with a Comparison of the Government Sector with the Private Sector in the United Arab Emirates.” In the field of financial sciences, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia won the first place for his thesis “The Effects of Corporate Governance Mechanisms on Financial Flexibility, Risk Behavior, and Effectiveness of Risk Management: A Comparative Study between Traditional and Islamic Banking Systems.” In the second place came The thesis submitted by Dr. Sarah Mohammed Al-Faihani from the Kingdom of Bahrain, which was titled “Banking Competition, Market Structure and Financial Stability in the GCC Countries”. The third place went to Dr. Hedaya Bint Mustafa from the Sultanate of Oman for her thesis “Characteristics of the Audit Committee, Quality of Reports Finance and corporate performance in the Sultanate of Oman. This came during the meeting held at the University of Sharjah, chaired by Prof. Dr. Hamid Majul Al Nuaimi, Director of the University of Sharjah and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Award, with the membership of Prof. Dr. Youssef Al-Hayek, Vice President of the University for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Muammar Al-Tayeb, Vice President of the University for Scientific Research and Postgraduate Studies, and Prof. Dr. Adnan Sarhan, Dean of the Faculty of Law, and Professor Dr. Hussein Al-Tamimi, Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Award.
