Believing from His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council of the Federation of the United Arab Emirates, Ruler of Sharjah, and founder of the University of Sharjah (may God Almighty preserve and preserve him) in the importance of developing the administrative culture in our Arab institutions and striving to develop theoretical and applied knowledge in The field of administrative and financial sciences and encouragement of research and researchers Academics in this field, the Sharjah Award for the Best Doctoral Dissertation in Administrative Sciences was established in cooperation with the Arab Organization for Administrative Development in 2001.
In 2014, the award was developed to become the Sharjah Award for Doctoral Dissertations in Administrative Sciences. Management in the Arab world to include management studies in general, financial sciences and information systems.
And in 2021, His Highness issued a decision stipulating that the Sharjah Award for Doctoral Theses in Administrative Sciences in the Arab World be attached to the University of Sharjah, and to be reorganized and developed to serve the achievement of its goals.
